About

Brytny Coleman - Senior Legal Assistant

Brytny Coleman believes everyone deserves a seat at the table — and if they’re not given one, she’s the kind of person who brings a folding chair. That belief in advocacy runs through everything she does as a Senior Legal Assistant at DWI TEAM, where she supports the legal team with preparation, clear communication, and a genuine commitment to client care.

Born and raised in the Utica and Rome area, Brytny made the move to Syracuse in the spring of 2018. Before stepping into the legal field, she spent most of her twenties in education, primarily supporting children with special needs. After ten years in that work, she decided it was time to challenge herself and build a career rooted in the same values that drew her to teaching: service, advocacy, and meaningful impact.

That background shapes how she shows up for the people DWI TEAM serves. Brytny knows that anyone walking through the door is facing one of the more stressful moments of their life, and she meets them with kindness, patience, and a steady, people-focused approach. On the team, she’s known for her curiosity, her positive attitude, and her commitment to getting the details right — the quiet work behind strong legal support.

Brytny has a deep interest in politics, law, and social issues, and she firmly believes that knowledge is power. She’s currently continuing her education in Political Science with a concentration in Policy, with the long-term goal of attending law school and becoming a criminal defense attorney. When she gets there, she wants to help people navigate difficult circumstances with dignity, understanding, and a real voice in the process.

“I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, seen, and supported, especially during some of life’s most difficult times. It’s important that people are given a voice to speak about their experiences, how those experiences impacted them, and how those moments influenced the decisions they’ve made. My goal is to continue growing personally and professionally while making a meaningful impact through my work, education, and life experiences.”
